Working draft. Working draft pending review. Contact details and the email provider are still to be confirmed.
How we use your data on this website
Who we are: Aurical Ltd, a UK company building a practice-management platform for talking therapists.
If you join our waitlist: we collect your email address, and optionally your profession and whether you're part of a group practice. We use this only to email you about Aurical's launch and early-access offers. We won't contact you for any other reason, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
If you just browse the site: we use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how the site is used: page views, general location, device type. We don't use cookies for this, and we don't identify you individually.
We never see your clients' therapy data here. This website is separate from the Aurical platform your therapist (if you become a customer) will use. That has its own, much more detailed privacy and security documentation.
Your rights: ask us to delete your waitlist entry at any time, or just unsubscribe.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Aurical Ltd (Company No. 17257201), SIU Offices, 4-6 Greatorex Street, London, E1 5NF, United Kingdom, is the data controller for the processing described in this notice. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration reference ZC237518. This is different from Aurical's role when you use the Aurical product as a therapist's client: there, the therapist is the controller and Aurical is their processor (see your therapist's own privacy notice for that).
2. What we collect, and why
If you join the waitlist:
- Email address (required)
- Profession: clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist, CBT therapist, psychotherapist, counsellor, or other (optional)
- Whether you're part of a group practice (optional)
We use this to send you emails about Aurical's launch, pricing and early access. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not sell or share it with anyone outside the providers listed in section 4.
Lawful basis: your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing (section 6) or asking us to delete your entry.
If you just visit the website:
We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (country-level only), and what kind of device is used. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you between visits, so we cannot identify you individually from it.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website, balanced against the low impact on you: no identification, no cross-site tracking, no profiling.
3. What we don't collect here
We do not collect any health, clinical or therapy-related information through this website. If you become an Aurical customer and use the product with your own clients, that processing is covered by separate, much more detailed documentation. See our Data Processing Agreement and ask your therapist for their client privacy notice.
4. Who we share it with
- Plausible (Plausible Insights OÜ), to run the website analytics described above.
- [Email provider to be confirmed], to send waitlist emails.
- Supabase, our database provider, to store waitlist entries.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train any AI model.
5. How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept for 12 months from when you sign up, or until you unsubscribe or become an Aurical customer (at which point this entry is deleted, since your customer account record takes over), whichever happens first. If you unsubscribe, your entry is deleted within 30 days.
6. Your rights and how to unsubscribe
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. You can also ask us to delete your waitlist entry entirely at any time by contacting us (section 8). You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled it.
7. Cookies
We don't use cookies on this website. Our analytics (Plausible) doesn't use cookies either.
